What to Expect

The initial treatment will start with a thorough intake and consultation followed by an acupuncture treatment.  I will take your pulse and examine your tongue to gather more information to help with diagnosing your condition. 

Once we begin the treatment, I will use a variety of tools such as percussion therapy, cupping, gua sha and of course, needles.   You will not feel more than a slight prick as the needle enters the skin. Most patients find that they do not feel the needles at all.  As the points are needled, most patients will feel a tingling sensation and some feel a heaviness in the body.  These sensations are signs that there is movement of qi in the body and a connection occurring between the mind and the body.  Most patients find that there is a feeling of relaxation and calmness that follows after the points are needled.
